North Carolina High School Football - Cardinal Gibbons smashes Hoggard

August 28, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28403

The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC) football trounced the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), 50-14 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans (Durham, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 4. Cardinal Gibbons will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Spartans enter the game with a 0-2 record after their 23-0 non-league loss to Jordan (Durham, NC).

The Vikings (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Wolfpack enter the non-league bout with a 0-1 record.
