North Carolina High School Football - Middle Creek holds off Willow Spring

The Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) football tipped the visiting Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 31-24 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Garner Trojans (Garner, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 4. Middle Creek will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 2-0 record after their 50-26 non-league win over Laney (Wilmington, NC).

The Storm (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Cary (Cary, NC). The Imps enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Cary was edged by Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC), 21-6, in a non-league game.
