In Thursday's league outing, the host Columbia City Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Bellmont Braves.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Huntington North (Huntington, IN). The Vikings go into the outing with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Huntington North edged Fort Wayne Snider (Fort Wayne, IN), 1-0, in a non-league test.
The Braves now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Norwell for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Bellmont will clash with a Knights team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Angola (Angola, IN). The Knights record now stands at 1-3.
