In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Southwest Guilford Cowboys soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Southwestern Randolph Cougars.
The Cowboys (5-0) will now prepare for their outing against Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Mount Tabor was tipped by Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 1-0, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Bishop McGuinness for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Southwestern Randolph will clash with a Villains team coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC). The Villains record now stands at 1-4.
