Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Athens Academy advances its record to 3-1 on the season.

With the loss, Eastside drops to 9-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Union Grove (McDonough, GA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 4. The Wolverines come into the outing with a record of 1-1.
