The Shining Light Academy Knights edged the host Mount Calvary Christian Warriors volleyball team by a tally of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Knights now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Calvary Christian for a outing on Tuesday, September 2. Shining Light Academy will play a Cougar team coming off a 2-0 league win over New Life Christian Academy (Rocky Mount, NC). The Cougar record now stands at 4-0.
With the defeat, Mount Calvary Christian moves to 0-3 on the season. The Warriors host Fayetteville Street Christian (Asheboro, NC) to confront the Patriots in a non-league game on Tuesday, September 9. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 0-3.
