North Carolina High School Soccer - Holmes knocks off Albemarle School

August 28, 2025: Edenton, NC 27932

The Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) soccer routed the visiting Albemarle School Colts (Elizabeth City, NC), 8-2 in Thursday's non-league contest.

Next, the Aces battle the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 2. Holmes will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC).

The Colts (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Perquimans held off Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC), 6-0, in a non-league contest.
