The Athens Bulldogs soccer squad scored 7 points and held the host Unioto Shermans to 3 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Tri-Valley for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 30. Athens will play a Scotties squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to John Glenn (New Concord, OH). The Scotties record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Unioto moves to 1-3 on the year. The Shermans host Jackson (Jackson, OH) to face the Ironman/Ironladies in a non-league game on Tuesday, September 2. The Ironman/Ironladies enter the game with a record of 4-1. Jackson won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Warren (Vincent, OH)
