In Thursday's league outing, the host Columbia City Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Bellmont Braves.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Huntington North (Huntington, IN). The Vikings come into the Northeast Hoosier test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Huntington North by East Noble (Kendallville, IN), 5-1, in a league test.

The Braves now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Norwell for a Northeast Hoosier test on Tuesday, September 2. Bellmont will clash with a Knights team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Angola (Angola, IN). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
