Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer squad knock off the visiting Grace Christian Warriors (Staunton, VA), 2-0 in a non-league outing.

The Flames (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Shenandoah Valley Academy (New Market, VA). The Stars go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Shenandoah Valley Academy got by Grace Christian (Staunton, VA), 3-0, in a non-league outing.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 2. Grace Christian will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Gryphons come into the test with a 2-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Dayspring Christian Academy (Blacksburg, VA).
