In Thursday's league outing, the host Huntington Highlanders soccer squad scored a nice 9-0 victory over the St. Albans Red Dragons.
The Highlanders (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Hurricane (Hurricane, WV). The Redskins go into the Mountain State outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Hurricane prevailed over Capital (Charleston, WV), 5-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Red Dragons clash with the Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV) in a non-league game, on Saturday, August 30. St. Albans will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Winfield (Winfield, WV).
