Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Notre Dame Spartans (East Stroudsburg, PA), 6-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Jim Thorpe moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Olympians host Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 30. The Hurricanes go into the outing with a record of 1-3. Schuylkill Haven lost 4-1 in their recent league outing against Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 2. Notre Dame will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Slaters come into the test with a 1-3 record after their 1-0 league win over Northern Lehigh (Slatington, PA).
