Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) and the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), saw Lockport's soccer squad knock off Thornton by a count of 3-0.

The Porters (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Reavis (Burbank, IL). The Rams enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Reavis tipped Mansueto (Chicago, IL), 4-0, in a non-league match.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln-Way Central for a non-league match on Saturday, August 30. Thornton will meet a Knights team coming off a 0-0 non-league Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Knights record now stands at 1-1.
