Illinois High School Soccer - Monticello knocks off MacArthur

The Monticello Sages soccer squad scored 6 points and held the host MacArthur Generals to 2 in the Sages non-league victory on Thursday.
The Sages now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Oakwood/Catlin for a non-league bout on Monday, September 1. Monticello will encounter a Comets team coming off a 7-1 league win over Watseka (Watseka, IL). The Comets record now stands at 2-1.
The Generals (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rochester (Rochester, IL). The Rockets enter the Central State Eight contest with a 0-3 record.
