In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Archbishop Mitty Monarchs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Menlo-Atherton Bears.
The Monarchs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Branson (Ross, CA). The Bulls come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record.
Next, the Bears meet the Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Menlo-Atherton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
