In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Athens Hornets volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Grand Saline Indians.
The Hornets (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Buffaloes go into the non-league test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Lone Oak achieved victory over Cumby (Cumby, TX), 3-2, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lone Oak for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Grand Saline will face a Buffaloes team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Cumby (Cumby, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 10-5.
