The Washington Panthers edged the host Bloomington Purple Raiders volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Panthers now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Rock Island for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. Washington will play a Rocks team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Bloomington drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Purple raiders host LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a record of 5-1. LaSalle-Peru won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Triad (Troy, IL)
