With the win, Burton advances its record to 18-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to La Grange (La Grange, TX) to face the Leopards in a non-league test on Friday, August 29. The Leopards go into the test with a record of 12-7. La Grange won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against East Bernard (East Bernard, TX)

The Raiders now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shiner for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. Rice Consolidated will play a Comanches team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Columbus (Columbus, TX). The Comanches record now stands at 10-8.
