The El Capitan Gauchos volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Central Catholic Raiders to 0 in the Gauchos non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Gauchos now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Escalon for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 2. El Capitan will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-4.

The Raiders (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Sierra (Manteca, CA). The Timberwolves enter the Valley Oak League game with a 3-3 record.
