The Mitchell County Eagles volleyball squad (Camilla, GA), was defeated 2-0 in Thursday's league battle with the host Chattahoochee County Panthers (Cusseta, GA)

With the win, Chattahoochee County improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Kendrick (Columbus, GA) to meet the Cherokees in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 2. The Cherokees enter the contest with a record of 6-2.

Next, the Eagles meet the Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA) in a 1A Area 1 contest, on Thursday, August 28. Mitchell County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Trojans enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Sumter County (Americus, GA).
