Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Florence Huskies (Florence, CO) and the host Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders (Colorado Springs, CO), observed Florence's volleyball team hold off Thomas MacLaren School by a count of 3-2.

The Huskies (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cotopaxi (Cotopaxi, CO). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Cotopaxi was edged by Creede (Creede, CO), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Highlanders now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Liberty Tree Academy for a 2A Black Forest battle on Wednesday, September 3.
