In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Jones Trojans volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Monte Alto Blue Devil.

The Trojans (21-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lyford (Lyford, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Lyford achieved victory over Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX), 3-0, in a league test.

The Blue Devil now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lyford for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Monte Alto will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-9.
