In Thursday's non-league bout, the La Crosse Central Riverhawks (La Crosse, WI) volleyball team knocked off the host Richland Center Hornets (Richland Center, WI), by a margin of 2-0.

The Riverhawks now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Onalaska for a Mississippi Valley bout on Tuesday, September 2. La Crosse Central will clash with a Hilltoppers team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Webster (Webster, WI). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Richland Center drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Platteville (Platteville, WI) to battle the Hillmen in a Southwest Wisconsin contest on Tuesday, September 16. The Hillmen enter the contest with a record of 3-1.
