In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Laporte Wildcats.

The Thunder (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Upsala (Upsala, MN). The Cardinals enter the Prairie challenge with a 0-2 record.

The Wildcats now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine River-Backus for a Northwoods test on Thursday, September 4. Laporte will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Swanville (Swanville, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.
