Illinois High School Volleyball - Nokomis over Litchfield

Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Nokomis Redskins (Nokomis, IL) and the host Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL), observed Nokomis's volleyball team top Litchfield by a count of 2-0.

The Redskins (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Gillespie (Gillespie, IL). The Miners enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Gillespie was knocked off by Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Purple Panthers battle the Maryville Christian Lions (Maryville, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 1. Litchfield will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Lions go into the battle with a 3-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over First Baptist Academy (O'Fallon, IL).
