The Lynnville-Sully Hawks volleyball team (Sully, IA), was knocked off 2-0 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA)

The Cardinals (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Indianola (Indianola, IA). The Indians go into the Little Hawkeye battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Indianola was defeated by Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Hawks now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Baxter for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 2. Lynnville-Sully will meet a team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA). The record now stands at 0-6.
