Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) and the host Trinity Catholic Celtics (Ocala, FL), observed Mater Dei's volleyball team top Trinity Catholic by a count of 3-1.
The Monarchs (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Gulliver Prep (Miami, FL). The Raiders go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Gulliver Prep dropped by Divine Savior Academy (Doral, FL), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Celtics now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Crest for a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. Trinity Catholic will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Benjamin (Palm Beach Gardens, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
