Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL) and the visiting Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), observed Mt. Pulaski's volleyball team hold off Riverton by a count of 2-1.

The Hilltoppers (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Dunlap got by Brimfield (Brimfield, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Riverton will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL).
