University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Roeper Roughriders (Birmingham, MI), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Detroit Cristo Rey (Detroit, MI). The WOLVES come into the Catholic - Intersectional challenge with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Roughriders face the Whitmore Lake Trojans (Whitmore Lake, MI) in a Michigan Independent - Red test, on Tuesday, September 2. Roeper will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Trojans go into the test with a 0-2 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Britton Deerfield (Britton, MI).
