In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Brevard Blue Devils.
The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Madison (Marshall, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Madison was nudged by Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
