The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA), saw Varina's volleyball squad beat Meadowbrook by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Varina upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA) to play the Mustangs in a Capital bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Mechanicsville won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Godwin (Richmond, VA)

The Monarchs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Petersburg for a Central bout on Thursday, September 7.
