Pillow Academy Mustangs (Greenwood, MS) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Jackson Academy Raiders (Jackson, MS), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs face the Magnolia Heights Chiefs (Senatobia, MS) in a MAIS Division II West challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Pillow Academy will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
The Raiders now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hartfield Academy for a MAIS Division I challenge on Thursday, August 31. Jackson Academy will face a Hawks team coming off a 4-2 league win over Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 3-1.
