The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Pueblo South Colts (Pueblo, CO) and the visiting La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO), saw Pueblo South's softball squad nip La Junta by a count of 8-4.
The Colts now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Mesa Ridge for a non-league match on Thursday, August 31. Pueblo South will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, La Junta falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lamar (Lamar, CO) to face the Thunder in a non-league match on Saturday, September 2. The Thunder enter the match with a record of 6-3. Lamar won 19-3 in their recent non-league match against Burlington (Burlington, CO)
