In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Dutchtown Griffins volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Assumption Mustangs.
The Griffins (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against St. Joseph's Academy (Baton Rouge, LA). The Redstickers come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, St. Joseph's Academy achieved victory over St. Amant (St. Amant, LA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the Vandebilt Catholic Terriers (Houma, LA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 31. Assumption will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Terriers come into the battle with a 2-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over South Terrebonne (Bourg, LA).
