The North Polk Comets held off the visiting Carlisle Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.

The Comets now have a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton for a non-league test on Thursday, August 31. North Polk will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-1.

The Wildcats (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Winterset (Winterset, IA). The Huskies enter the Raccoon River challenge with a 0-5 record.
