In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Port Allen Pelicans.
The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA). The Tigers come into the Division V District 3 battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, East Iberville achieved victory over West St. John (Edgard, LA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Pelicans clash with the Broadmoor Buccaneers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 31. Port Allen will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
