The Hebbronville Longhorns topped the visiting Mathis Pirates volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Longhorns now have a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Isidro for a non-league test on Friday, September 1. Hebbronville will confront a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Falfurrias (Falfurrias, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.

The Pirates (6-15) will now prepare for their test against Taft (Taft, TX). The Greyhounds enter the 3A Region IV District 29 test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Taft gained a win over Refugio (Refugio, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.
