The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks held off the host Independence Mustangs volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Golden Hawks now have a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Branch for a River Valley South test on Thursday, August 31. Mid-Prairie will confront a Bears team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Solon (Solon, IA). The Bears record now stands at 3-3.
The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA). The Vikings enter the WAMAC - West test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Vinton-Shellsburg was nudged by Denver (Denver, IA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
