In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting MacArthur Generals volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Lanphier Lions.

The Generals (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones come into the Central State Eight battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Sacred Heart-Griffin achieved victory over Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Lions clash with the Richwoods Knights (Peoria, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 2. Lanphier will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 1-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Dunlap (Dunlap, IL).
