In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Midland Bulldogs volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates.
The Bulldogs (19-8) will now prepare for their battle against Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 10-11 record.
Next, the Pirates encounter the Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 5. Lubbock-Cooper will attempt to advance on its 16-11 season record. The Rebels come into the battle with a 18-9 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Pampa (Pampa, TX).
