The Brandon Blackhawks edged the visiting Glenn Bobcats football team by a score of 43-40 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Blackhawks face the Denby Tars (Detroit, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. Brandon will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Tars enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 28-6 non-league loss to University Liggett (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI).

The Bobcats (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Alma (Alma, MI). The Panthers enter the Tri-Valley - Red challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Alma was edged by Shepherd (Shepherd, MI), 20-13, in a non-league challenge.
