Michigan High School Football - Grand Ledge sneaks past West Ottawa

The Grand Ledge Comets football squad scored 36 points and limited the visiting West Ottawa Panthers to 33 in the Comets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Comets now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeview for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Grand Ledge will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 44-12 non-league win over Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, West Ottawa drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Zeeland West (Zeeland, MI) to meet the Dux in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Dux come into the test with a record of 1-0. Zeeland West won 22-13 in their recent non-league test against Muskegon (Muskegon, MI)
