The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots (Hills, MN) and the visiting Lanesboro Burros (Lanesboro, MN), witnessed Hills-Beaver Creek's football squad wallop Lanesboro by a tally of 52-0.

The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Renville County West (Renville, MN). The Jaguars enter the District 9 South - West (9 Man) contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Renville County West crushed Red Rock Central (Lamberton, MN), 40-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Burros battle the Mabel-Canton Cougars (Mabel, MN) in a District 9 South - East (9 Man) contest, on Friday, September 6. Lanesboro will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 42-8 league win over Grand Meadow (Grand Meadow, MN).
