The Lapeer Lightning felled the visiting Lakeview Huskies football team by a score of 28-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lightning play the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. Lapeer will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 38-21 league win over South Lyon East (South Lyon, MI).
The Huskies (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI). The Big Reds go into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Chippewa Valley lost by West Bloomfield (West Bloomfield, MI), 42-0, in a non-league challenge.
