Michigan High School Football - Mattawan tops Vicksburg

The Mattawan Wildcats football squad scored 18 points and limited the visiting Vicksburg Bulldogs to 0 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lowell for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Mattawan will meet a Red Arrows squad coming off a 33-14 non-league loss to East Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MI). The Red Arrows record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Vicksburg drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Gull Lake (Richland, MI) to meet the Blue Devils in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 0-1. Gull Lake lost 38-6 in their recent non-league test against Marshall (Marshall, MI)
