The Lima Senior Spartans soccer squad scored 9 points and restricted the host Van Wert Cougars to 0 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.

The Spartans (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against St. John's (Delphos, OH). The Bluejays enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, St. John's was overwhelmed by Kalida (Kalida, OH), 1-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Celina Bulldogs (Celina, OH) in a Western Buckeye battle, on Tuesday, September 3. Van Wert will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
