Spectators at Thursday's league challenge between the St. George's Gryphons (Collierville, TN) and the visiting Westminster Academy Defenders (Memphis, TN), observed St. George's's soccer squad triumph over Westminster Academy by a margin of 5-0.

The Gryphons now hold a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to First Assembly Christian for a D II-A West 6 challenge on Tuesday, September 3. St. George's will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Northpoint Christian (Southaven, MS). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Westminster Academy moves to 1-1 on the year. The Defenders travel to Evangelical Christian (Cordova, TN) to encounter the Eagles in a D II-A West 6 challenge on Tuesday, September 3. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Evangelical Christian won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Harding Academy (Memphis, TN)
