In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Alexander Central Cougars football squad scored a good 27-19 triumph over the Wilkes Central Eagles.
The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their match against North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Raiders come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, North Iredell was beaten by Starmount (Boonville, NC), 52-8, in a non-league match.
