The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) and the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), witnessed Central Cabarrus's football squad knock off Piedmont by a tally of 8-0.

The Vikings (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Mount Pleasant gained a win over Concord (Concord, NC), 28-6, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Panthers battle the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 5. Piedmont will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 14-7 non-league win over West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).
