North Carolina High School Football - Mount Pleasant tops Concord

The Mount Pleasant Tigers football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Concord Spiders to 6 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Cabarrus for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Mount Pleasant will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Concord drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Spiders host Robinson (Concord, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 1-1. Robinson won 38-6 in their recent non-league test against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC)
